"new" friends

it amazes me how you can be friends with a lot of people for years, yet not really get to hang out with them or pursue deeper, more meaningful connections with them after some time.

such is my case with at least two people whom i have just recently spent a lot of time and serious, honest-to-goodness bonding moments with.

thank God for friends who get relegated to the sidelines but stay there nevertheless.  fading away just doesn't come into play when souls, minds, and shared experiences collide.

cheers to us, burdened but happy complicated souls!

Haha! And hello new friend!

It's sad on the flip side how we get to "outgrow" friends, however real they are. Priorities shift, our lives make the proverbial subtle or drastic turns, and we find ourselves gravitating towards those who have the same perspectives.

However yes, cheers to amazing friends who have managed to stick with us and have rolled through our many changes. One thing they all have in common? Is that they are REAL.
